Wisconsin man hurt, arrested for 5th OWI offense following crash

TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – One man in Wisconsin was hurt and arrested for his 5th Operating While Intoxicated offense following a crash Saturday night, officials said.

According to a release from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded at 6:08 p.m. to County Road Q near Marsolek Road for a single-vehicle crash.

Officials at the scene say they found a vehicle with heavy front-end damage and a man walking around the vehicle.

Deputies identified the driver as Ronald J. Suchla from Independence and, through talking with him, reportedly noticed signs of impairment.

Suchla was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with what was said to be substantial injuries before being arrested for his 5th OWI offense.
