18-year-old hospitalized after crash with Kewaunee School District school bus

CARLTON, Wis. (WFRV) – An 18-year-old man was sent to the hospital after crashing into the back of a school bus on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a report of a school bus crash at around 3:20 p.m.

A preliminary investigation reveals that a Kewaunee School District school bus with around 30 students was stopped at a residence on State Highway 42, south of Townline Road in the township of Carlton.

A vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man from Two Rivers was traveling southbound on State Highway 42 and crashed into the back of the bus.

The 18-year-old was injured and transported to the hospital. The occupants of the school bus only reported minor injuries, and none of the occupants were transported to hospitals.

The crash is being investigated, and State Highway 42 was shut down for around three hours.
