53 employees to change companies after Parking Operations switches hands at Milwaukee’s airport

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) – Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport has opted to change contracts with its shuttle-driving service, which will lay off 53 employees.

According to a letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Interflight Parking will no longer be the manager of parking operations at General Mitchell International Airport after May 31.

53 employees, including valet attendants, maintenance workers, and shuttle drivers, will be laid off due to this move. Airport officials have decided to give SP Plus the next contract.
