Bougie throws no-hitter in first college start, UW-Oshkosh softball stays perfect

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WFRV) – It was a special evening at the UW-Oshkosh Rec Plex on Thursday as the Titans swept the double header over St. Norbert.

In game one, Oshkosh was led by a strong performance from starting pitcher, senior, Abby Freismuth. The Fond du Lac grad went the distance with 10 strikeouts and only giving up one earned run. Sophie Wery, Hannah Ritter, and Morgan Miller all contributed with runs batted in to power the Titans to a 4-1 win in the first game.

Freshman Brianna Bougie took the mound in game two and didn’t disappoint following Freismuth’s pitching performance. In Bougie’s first college start, the Oshkosh West grad threw a no-hitter striking out one in six innings.

The UW-Oshkosh softball program improved to an impressive 18-0 on the year, which is the longest win streak in school history.
