APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – McKinley Elementary School in Appleton was given the Seven Seals Award from the Department of Defense.
The Seven Seals Award is reportedly the broadest and most inclusive award given by Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). It is presented at the discretion of the Stae Chair or by ESGR senior leadership.
Mark Bazaldua, a McKinley first-grade teacher, who has been on three tours, nominated the school.
Last November, McKinley Elementary Principal Andrea Vinje was honored with the Patriotic Employer Award, as a supporter of service members in the workplace.
