More showers and a few storms for Wednesday

The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…

A band of showers and isolated storms moved through the area overnight and also brought wind gusts over 30mph in most spots. We are tracking a band of showers and storms pushing through Wisconsin that is capable of producing lightning and downpours for the morning commute. We will then quiet down for a few hours during the late morning after this band moves through before a batch of lighter showers enters and continues during the afternoon.

Most of the activity should be done by dinner time tonight, but a few showers could linger around especially up north until midnight. An additional quarter inch of rain is possible, some areas higher and others lower then that. Highs today will top out mild again with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Winds will shift from the E/SE to a W/SW direction that will gust around 30-35mph.

Overnight, look for partly cloudy skies and temperatures down to the mid 40s. Tomorrow we’ll see some early rays of sun, but cloud coverage quickly builds in and will also bring some shower chances during the mid day hours. Highs will begin to cool off starting tomorrow, as highs reach the upper 50s.

Strong winds are in the forecast for Friday gusting near 40mph at times. The direction of the winds will be northwesterly, so much cooler temperatures are in the forecast, only reaching the low 50s. We will get even cooler Saturday topping out in the upper 40s to low 50s. Sunday into Monday looks to be the best days in the extended forecast.
