Warmer, more active weather for the weekend

The latest northeast Wisconsin weather forecast from Storm Team 5…

Changes in our weather for Friday include more clouds and increasing winds. Temperature wise, it will be nearly the same as yesterday. As clouds thicken, eventually there will be rain falling in the late afternoon and evening. More rain or thunderstorms could form this weekend as temperatures swing, and some of the storms on Saturday could be stronger.

Friday will show us increasing clouds that will lower throughout the day – temperatures will be around normal at 59 degrees. Winds also pick up from 15 to 25 miles per hour from the southeast. A few communities south/west of Green Bay could see some late afternoon rain showers, while others will get some rain around sunset and into the overnight. No severe weather is expected today.

Tonight, scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected. Breezy southeast or southerly winds will keep temperatures warm! The low is 51 degrees. We are not expecting severe weather at this time, but some downpours and lightning may be noted.

Saturday, plan on it being very windy and very warm! Southwest winds could gust as high as 35 or 40 miles per hour, but that comes with temperatures in the middle and upper 70s! There will be a cold front near our area which could set off some stray thunderstorms, and those storms may be strong during the warmest part of the day. Large hail, damaging winds and downpours are the main risks, while a quick tornado spin up is a low-end risk.

Sunday, more rain and thunder is possible, especially in the late morning and afternoon. Temperatures tumble to the middle and upper 50s. Don’t worry, we will get 70s back early next week!
